Here they are : the Elephant Seals.
These are two puppies .They were born at the same time but one of them has lost her mother and is probably not going to survive.

A huge slug with snub elephant trunk.

Nilanthi helped to carry Tereza too. There are always enough volunteers for this job.

February 8, 2004 Tereza is dozing in her favorite swing .

Elephant Seals
Año Nuevo State Reserve is the site of the largest mainland breeding colony in the world for the northern elephant seal. These large animals spend most of their lives at sea, coming ashore only to molt, give birth, and mate. They were slaughtered wholesale in the 1800s. By 1892, only 50 to 100 individuals were left. Thanks to the new laws prorecting them there are approximately 160,000 northern elephant seals today.
1994-95 breeding season, approximately 2,000 pups were born in the park.
