Tereza really enjoyed this hiking
August 11 . Trip to mount "Hegyestu". Following a series of celebration we decided to visit "Hegyestu" which means something like"sharp needle". From the top of this hill there is possibly the best view on the hilly side of Lake Balaton. Unfortunatelly we couldn't see the view because our trip ended very abruptly by the local tourist authority asking a lot of money just to see the view. All this happened after hiking the hill with all the kids.
Short stop at a wine house
It started very nice. We (5 adults and 9 kids) followed the so called blue route which goes through the most beautiful places of Hungary. We were hiking on a hill side partly covered by vine and with a view on the lake all the time. The nature was beautiful there were no sign of civilization.

red-black berry
We were shocked to see a road with heavy traffic on top of the hill and we were stopped by so called national park guards asking for money to see the geological exhibition. In a very "clever" way they organized this all year round exibition on the top of the hill from which we wanted just a quick look around. They told us that we should pay for the preservation of highly protected nature which was stated on the brown sign next to the asphalt road !! We were so upset to see all those cars in a place like this and the treatment we got when we refused to pay for the view ...

Beautiful kids and berries .
Rezi's first meeting with a grasshopper.
.... we turned back and eagerly left the road and the cars on it.What a nice nature preservation site this is!
PS: We should not accept any authorities harming the nature and/or our rights.
